It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Joseph Murphy announce his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Centre, Burin, NL on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the age of 65. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 44 years: Pauline; children: Ellison (Amanda), Truro, NS, Lisa (Shawn), Mount Pearl, NL, & Brian (Michelle), Paradise, NL; grandchildren: Alexa, Nathan, Joshua, Haleigh, Kayla, Kristie; mother: Elizabeth Murphy; brothers: Robert, St. Alban’s, NL, Kevin (Darlene), Edmonton, AB & Ronald (Kathleen), Guelph, ON; sisters: Mary (Raymond), St. John’s, NL, Daphne (Stewart), Gander, NL, Judy (Sam), Edmonton, AB, Margaret (John), Carbonear, NL, Beth (Wayne), St. Alban’s, NL, Bernadette (Derek), Belleville, ON, Kathy (Paul), St. John’s, NL, Ann (Fred), St. Alban’s, NL, Patsy (Vernon), Milltown, NL & Tracy (Frank), Midland, TX; mother in law: Maude Stoyles, Grand Bank, NL; brothers and sisters in law: David, Linda, Rosalind, Gordon, Doris and their families, as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father: John; brother: Terry; infant brother: Martin; infant sister: Martha; father in law: Ellison Stoyles. Funeral service on Friday June 28, 2019 at 2pm at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban’s, with Father Patrick Osuji officiating. Interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban’s.
