It is with great sadness that the family of the late Amelia Millie Strickland announce her passing at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the age of 91. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Douglas (Betty), Milltown, NL, Joan (Kevin Joe), Calgary, AB, Herbert (Debbie), Head of Bay d’Espoir, NL, Wayne , Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Marion Strickland Stickland, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Edna (Sharon), Twillingate), NL, James (Ann Marie), Grand Cache, AB, Kevin (Tammy), Milltown NL, Bella (Fabian Perry), St. Alban’s, NL, Norman (Glenda), Milltown, NL, Marina (Bruce Cooze), Norris Arm, NL, Fabian (Rosalind), Grand Falls-Windsor, NL & Gail Strickland, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; 24 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great- great grandchild; brother: Herbert (Winnifred), Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; special friend: George Sutton, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: Stanley; sister: Margaret Perry, Olive Sutton, Ada Sutton & Sarah Sutton; brothers: Clyde Sutton, George Sutton, Hubert Sutton & Gordon Sutton. Due to the government regulations regarding Covid-19 there will not be any public visitation. There will be a private family Funeral service on Tuesday June 23, 2020 at 2 pm at Christ Anglican Church, Milltown with Rev. Hubert Vallis officiating. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Milltown, NL. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes’ Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban’s.
