It is with great sadness that the family of the late Albert McDonald announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls Windsor, NL on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at the age of 87. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Ken (Rowena), Kippens, NL, Anthony (Sharon), Stephenville, NL, Mary (Allison Warren), St. Joseph's Cove, NL, Elizabeth (Barry Oates, St. Philips, NL, William (Janice), St. Joseph's Cove, NL, Edmund (Christine), Torbay, NL, Helena (Derek Thornhill), St. Joseph's Cove, NL, Claude (Billy), Ottawa, ON & Fabian (Corenne), Paradise, NL; 10 grandchildren; 8great-grandchildren; sisters: Edith Collier & Nellie Collier, both of St. Alban's, NL; sister in law: Elizabeth McDonald, St. Alban's, NL as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife: Lenora; daughter: Theresa McDonald; brothers: Alexander & William; sisters: Mary Collier & Gertrude Farrell: daughter in law: Marie McDonald. The funeral service was held on Friday March 27, 2015 at 2 pm at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban's, with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban's. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes' Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban's.
