Mildred was a strong foundational pillar for her family and demonstrated resilience to life's challenges. Deeply devoted; she provided support and love throughout their childhood. She was cherished for her love of singing and reading, her gift for baking homemade bread and making split-pea soup. She had an appreciation for life’s simple joys—enjoying a good mystery book, a good cup of tea, and humming along to the radio while tapping her foot. With a warm smile and gentle strength, she had a calm and kind nature that endeared her to everyone who knew her. She will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, (great) grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt.
A celebration of Mildred’s life will take place at 1:30 PM on Saturday, September 13, 2025, in the chapel at the Anglican church in Milltown. Interment will be at 3 PM at the same cemetery followed by a lunch in the church basement.
Mildred’s love lives on in the hearts of her family and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be dearly missed.
