Mary Warren Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Warren announce her passing at her residence, St. Joseph’s Cove, NL on Tuesday September 2, 2025 at the age of 70. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Necia (Randy Dollimont), St. Joseph’s Cove, NL & Nancy (Jonathan Howse), St. Joseph’s Cove, NL; grandson: Michael Dollimont; siblings: Ken McDonald (Rowena), Kippens, NL, Anthony McDonald (Sharon), Stephenville, NL, Elizabeth (Barry Oates), St. Philips, NL, William McDonald (Janice), St. Joseph's Cove, NL, Edmund McDonald (Christine), St. Georges, NL, Helena (Derek Thornhill), St. Joseph's Cove, NL, Claude McDonald, Ottawa, ON & Fabian McDonald (Corinne), Paradise, NL; as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: Allison Warren; sister: Theresa McDonald; sister in law: Marie McDonald; parents: Albert & Lenora McDonald. Mary was born in St. Joseph’s Cove, May 11, 1955 to Albert and Lenora McDonald. She left home at the age of 16 and went to Ramea where she had her very first job at the fish plant. She met her husband Allison there and raised two daughters, Necia and Nancy. Eventually they left Ramea where she met some lifelong friends. Mary had one grandson, Michael whom she dearly treasured. Mary developed arthritis but that didn’t stop her from doing the things she enjoyed. Mary loved to go to their cabin at White Bear Bay and loved sea trouting. She loved to go outside and have a little fire to sit by. As she got older and her arthritis became more sever, she loved to play bingo and the kids (and adults) would often join her on the TV bingos on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. She loved calling her family and friends for a chat, put together her puzzles, do her search a word puzzles, and her adult coloring until it became too difficult for her. She loved it when the family and a few friends gathered in the shed for a few games of darts, some food and loved listening to anyone singing and joining in on the karaoke (and telling a few old stories). Mary also loved watching a bit of sports, but curling was her favorite. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, sister and friend. We will cherish our many memories of laughter and fun. Funeral service on Thursday September 4, 2025 at 2 pm at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban's, with Father Tom Duffenais officiating. Interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban's. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes' Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban's.
