It is with great sadness that the family of the late Matilda Collier announce her passing at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, , St. John’s , NL on Friday September 12, 2025 at the age of 91. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter: Joanne (Bob Farrell), St. John’s, NL; grandchildren: Roberta (Mark) & Danielle (Jeremy); great-grandchildren: Brynn, Clayton & Nathan; sister: Maggie Collier, St. Alban’s, NL; sisters in law: Phyllis Barnes, St. Alban’s, NL & Stella Barnes, St. Alban’s, NL; special niece: Joanne Farrell; special nephew: Wayne Barnes, as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: Owen Collier; son: Allan Collier; sisters: Mary Jane McDonald & Elizabeth Barnes; brothers: Thomas Barnes, Basil Barnes, Kevin Barnes & Raymond. Funeral service on Tuesday September 16, 2025 at 11 am at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban's, with Father Tom Duffenais officiating. Interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban's.
