Elizabeth "Betty" Cokes Obituary
It is with heavy hearts the family of Elizabeth(Betty) Cokes nee Cox announces her passing on the morning of August 2nd in the loving arms of her husband and surrounded by family.
Mom was born January 19th 1946 to Samuel and Uriel Cox. She was one of 13 children. She loved to knit and crochet and many family members have baby gifts that she made. She loved social events and spending time at the camper enjoying the outdoors and her many friends. Earlier in life she enjoyed playing darts and games. She loved and supported her family and was always there for them.
She married Lloyd 59 years ago on June 15th 1967 and spent her life raising her children and caring for her home. She loved to cook and bake and a Christmas baking list was created every year.
Betty leaves behind her husband Lloyd, daughter Glenda (Kirk), son Riley (Amy), grandchildren Andrew (Gina), Chantel (Brad) and Taylor. Siblings Ann, Ed (Bruce), Owen (Lucy), Calvin ( Elizabeth) and John. Sisters and brothers in law and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank everyone who supported Mom over the past six years. She will be missed immensely but we take comfort in knowing she will be surrounded by her family in her heavenly home.
Funeral service on Saturday August 8, 2026 at 11am at Christ Anglican Church, Milltown, Father Ayo officiating.
