It is with great sadness that the family of the late Calvin Simms announce his passing at his residence, Head of Bay d’Espoir, NL on Monday, August 3, 2026 at the age of 65. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife: Sarah; step children: David Lilly (Jennifer), Greenwood, NS & Daryl Lilly (Melanie), Alberta; step grandchildren: Elizabeth, Kayla, Mason, Zachary & Easton; step great granddaughter: Anise; brothers: Perry Simms, Gaultois, NL, Dennis Simms, Alberta, Rodney Simms (Wendy), Gander, NL; sisters: Ruby (Herbert Lee), Milltown, NL, Ada (Gary Fudge), Gander, NL, Darlene (Terry Piercy), St. John’s, NL, Juanita Simms, Alberta, Mary Simms, Head of Bay d’Espoir, NL & Pamela Simms, Gaultois, NL as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: John & Mabel Simms; brothers: Ronald Simms & Robert Simms; sister: Jeanette Simms; brother in law: Roland Lee. Visitation and funeral service will take place at a date and time to be announced. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes’ Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban’s.
