It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lorraine Parsons announce her passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre, Norris Point, NL on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the age of 79. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Hughie (Connie), Dundalk, ON, Morgan, Brampton, ON, Ambrose (Michelle), Corner Brook, NL, James (Marg), Brampton, ON & Nevin, Parsons Pond, NL; 12 grandchildren: 6 great-grandchildren: step sister: Sadie (Kevin McIsaac), Shoal Brook, NL; step brother: Reg Bishop (Rowell), Brampton, ON; sister in law: Rosie Goosney, Birchy Head, NL; step sister in law: Carrie Bishop, Glenburnie, NL; step son in law: Larry Bath, Grand Bay, NL as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Ken Cornelaus Blanchard; second husband: Frederick Parsons; mother: Edith Bishop (Goosney); father: James Goosney; sisters: Nancy Goosney, Audrey Goosney, Thelma (Hubert Caines), Una (Chesley Burden), Jessie (Russell Anderson) & Beulah (Henley Parsons); brothers: Garland Goosney (Dorcas) & Robert Goosney; step brothers: Guy Bishop & Elias Bishop (Emma); step Daughters: Ruth Bath & Rosie (Don Mullin). Funeral service on Wednesday August 1, 2018 at 2pm at Shoal Brook United Church, Shoal Brook, with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment at the United Church Cemetery, Shoal Brook. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes’ Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban’s.
