Obituary of Barbara Sutton
Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Sutton (nee Long), age 93 years, at the Hugh Twomey Healthcare Centre in Botwood, on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. Predeceased by her beloved husband John, son Anthony and grand-daughter Katrina, Barbara’s life was treasured by her extended circle of family and friends including her children Bernadette (Boyd), Victor (Alma), Rosalia (Jim), Jerome (Darlene), Philomena (Sylvain), Alfred (Paula), Margaret (Harry), John (Angela), Anthony (deceased) (Pat), Jackie (Steve) and her many cherished grandchildren,great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Due to the restrictions on public gatherings presently in place, a private interment will take place on Friday, June 5, 2020. When circumstances allow, we will have a grand celebration of Barbara’s life, and all the many family and friends she knew and loved will be welcomed to commemorate her rich and happy life. Our family would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to the staff at the Hugh Twomey Healthcare Centre and the staff at the Killick Retirement Home where she was a resident for 4 years. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hynes' Coast Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban's.
