It is with great sadness that the family of the late Beatrice Walsh of St, Joseph’s Cove, NL announce her passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre, Harbour Breton, NL on Wednesday June 28, 2023 at the age of 93. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Ellen Hunt, Lunenberg, NS, Loretta (Ross MacKay), Riverview, NB, Joe (Sheila), Botwood, NL & Betty (Baxter Jackman), St. Joseph’s Cove, NL; grandchildren: Mark Hunt, Melvena MacIssac, Peter MacKay, Paul MacKay, Christy MacKay, Sheldon Walsh, Yvonne Jackman & Leon Jackman; 14 great grandchildren, as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: Benjamin; parents: Peter & Emily Benoit; son in law: Winston Hunt. Beatrice was a fun loving person with a great sense of humour. She enjoyed playing cards, darts and dancing with her beloved husband Ben at the Legion. She also enjoyed her daily walks with her special friends Margaret LeRoux and Donna Collier. She will be at peace now with her family in Heaven and will never be forgotten and forever loved by her family in mourning. Funeral service on Saturday July 1, 2023 at 11am at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, St. Alban’s with Father Patrick Osuji officiating. Interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban’s.
