It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Margaret LeRoux announce her passing at the Hollet Park Retirement Home, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Wednesday October 18, 2023 at the age of 81. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter: Kimberly (Fred Penney), Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; son: Randy, St. Alban’s. NL; grandchildren: Lee (Daniella), St. John, NB & Lucy (Jess), Corner Brook, NL; brother: Jerome Davis (Mary), Brooks, AB; sister in law: Sally Davis, Milltown, NL; special family friend: Phyllis Barnes, St. Alban’s, NL, as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: Harold LeRoux; son: Scott LeRoux; daughter: Ann LeRoux; sisters: Florence Howse & Katie Walsh; brother: Richard Davis; parents: Ishmael & Mary Davis. Margaret was a beautiful, selfless, quiet and gentle soul that loved her family and friends unconditionally. She was always up for an adventure and loved to travel. She obtained her Drivers Licence in her mid-fifties, rode a motorcycle and a horse plus took a ride in a helicopter in her mid-sixties. In her seventies she travelled to Disney several times, went on a Caribbean Cruise (Swam with dolphins), and visited almost every nook and cranny in NL. She cared for her late husband for several years as his dementia progressed. She loved phone calls from her two grandchildren Lee and Lucy, always had a positive attitude, loved to laugh, but dare not interrupt her when she was watching Coronation Street. Our family would like to thank Hynes’ Coast of Bays Funeral Home for taking care of the funeral arrangements and organizing the funeral mass. Thank you to the staff at Hollet Park Retirement Living for their kindness and compassion. Thank you to our cousins Paulette, Allan and Roland who always kept an eye on mom, Phyllis Skinner for helping with mail and groceries and a special thanks to her best friend Phyllis Barnes for always being there. Funeral service on Monday October 23, 2023 at 1pm at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church with Father Patrick Osuji officiating. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban’s.
