It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roy Pittman announce his passing at his Family Residence, Birchy Head, NL on March 4, 2024 at the age of 69. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife: Edith; children: Corwin (Cindy), Fort McMurray, AB, Iven (Adele), Fort McMurray, AB & Gloria (Kraig Young), Fort McMurray, AB; grandchildren: Samantha (Derrick Bullen), Sarah Pittman & Tamika Pittman; step grandchildren: Nicklas Jenkins & Natasha Bailey; great grandchildren: Violet & Sawyer; brothers: Lloyd (Bella), Sop’s Arm, NL, Guy (Hughena), Sop’s Arm, NL, Clifford (Joan), Long Island, NL, Ellis (Flora), Bay Roberts, NL & Todd, Corner Brook, NL; sisters: Karen (Eugene Parsons), Sop’s Arm, NL & Piney (Louis Mackinnon), Sidney Mines, NS; sisters in law: Edna Pittman & Naomi Pittman; in laws: Joyce (Henry Young), Birchy Head, NL, Phyllis (Oral Clarke), Glenburnie, NL, Willie Anderson (Judy), Shoal Brook, NL, Louise (Eddie Samms), Birchy Head, NL & Glynn Anderson (Melissa), Shoal Brook, NL, as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: William & Leona Pittman; brothers: Morris, Wesley & Obediah; sister: Gloria (William Dicks); parents in law: Russell & Jessie Anderson; brother in law: Hayward Anderson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Melinda Payne, Community Health Nurse, Dr. Michelle Kendall, the pain clinic & the chemo team. Special thanks to homecare worker Louise Samms who spent an unlimited amount of hours with us. Thanks to anyone who helped in any way. Visitation on Tuesday March 5th from 7-9pm and continuing on Wednesday March 6th from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Pentecostal Church, Birchy Head, NL. Funeral Service at the Pentecostal Church, Birchy Head, NL on Thursday March 7, 2024 at 2pm, with Pastor Tia Morey officiating. Interment at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Birchy Head, NL. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes’ Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban’s.
