It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Long announce her passing at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the age of 78, with her daughter Michelle by her side. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Patrick (Michelle), Fort McMurray, AB, Kevin (Veronica), Fort McMurray, AB, Fabian (Tina), Lewisporte, NL, Tracey (Brian Northcott), Mount Pearl, NL & Michelle (Kevin Lilly), Vulcan, AB; 10 grandchildren; sister Liz Caines, Port Au Choix, NL; brothers: Samuel Haggerty, St. Alban’s, NL, Richard Haggerty, St. Alban’s, NL & Harry Haggerty, St. Alban’s, NL; her friends and the staff at Kingsway Living, Lewisporte, NL, as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: Gordon Long; parents: Leonard & Anastasia Haggerty. Funeral service on Monday June 24, 2024 at 1pm at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban’s, with Father Tom Duffenais officiating. Interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban’s.
