It is with great sadness that the family of the late Calvin Young announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Monday, August 19, 2024 at the age of 69. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife: Lucina; daughters: April Mulholland, Moose Jaw, SK & Pamela Whiffin, Placentia, NL; grandchildren: Tyler, Rylan, Finn, Anna & Benjamin; brothers: Efford (Helena), St. Alban’s, NL, Julo (Linda), St. Alban’s, NL & Wayne (Catherine), Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL; sisters: Sadie Joe Mackey), St. Alban’s, NL, Alicia (Wally Samms), Codroy Valley, NL, Ann Marie Penney, St. John’s, NL, Betty (Wayne Gillette), Kentville, NS & Donna (George Parsons), Bay Roberts, NL, as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: John & Ursula. Funeral service on Saturday August 24, 2024 at 11am at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban’s, with Father Tom Duffenais officiating. Interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban’s. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes’ Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban’s.
