It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Dollimont announce his passing at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's, NL on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the age of 88. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife: Margaret; children: Ernest (Linda), Joan (Jim McEntegart, Blaketown, NL, Theresa Dollimont, Stephenville, NL, Brenda ( Russell Riehl), Alexandria, VA & Gloria (Michael Walbourne), St. John's, NL; 8 grandchildren: 3 great-grandchildren sister: Elizabeth Neils, Fresno, CA; brother in law: William Hartery; sister in law: Vivian Dollimont as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son: Brian; parents: Owen & Zita Dollimont; brothers: Chesley, Robert & Archibald & Patrick; sisters: Mary Organ, Eileen Hartery, Theresa Willcott, Sheila McGrath & Margaret Dollimont. The funeral service was held on Friday May 27, 2016 at 11 am at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban's, with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Alban's. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes' Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban's.
