It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rod Willcott announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the age of 69. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife: Marie; children: Roger (Melvina), Paradise, NL, Elaine (Bryan Farrell), Gander, NL & Rick, Ottawa, ON; step-children: Rhoda (Brian MacDonald), Head of Bay d'Espoir, NL & Lionel (Rachel), Ottawa, ON; grandchildren: Brooke, Nicole & Cameron; step-grandchildren: Katie-Sue (Morgan) & Jackson; brothers: Levi (Jenny), Mount Pearl, NL, Chris (Wanda), St. Alban's, NL, Dan (Gertie), St. Alban's, NL & Gerard (Gail), Ottawa, ON; sisters: Sister Dorothy Willcott, Marystown, NL & Mary Simmons, Labrador City, NL, as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife: Edith; Parents: Alexander & Gertrude Willcott; brother in law Eugene Simmons. Funeral service on Saturday June 24, 2017 at 11am at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban's, with Father David Joy officiating.
