It is with great sadness that the family of the late Austin Hoskins announce his passing at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL Monday, October 2, 2017 at the age of 87. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Theresa Kearley (David Price), Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Cindy (Howard Kearley), Head of Bay d'Espoir, NL, Annabelle (Matthew Johnson), Halifax, NS, Austin, St. Alban's, NL, Jackie (Michael Kearley), Halifax, NS, Wanda Priddle (Chris Paquin), Halifax, NS, Neil (Kim), Ottawa, ON & Calvin (Delores), St. Alban's, NL; grandchildren: Rebecca, Jade, Mark, Austin, Samuel, Calvin, Michael & Brianna; great grandchildren: Noah & Allison; brother: Lloyd, Alymer, QC; sister: Peggy (Johnny Skinner), Botwood, NL, as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers: Gordon, Garret, Clifford & Michael; sisters: Ursula Young & Annie May Hoskins. Funeral service on Thursday October 5, 2017 at 3 pm at St. Ignatius R. C. Church, St. Alban's, with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes' Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban's.
