From: Marvin/Mona
So sorry to have head of the passing of Charlie, your husband, Dad, etc.
We have very pleasant memories of Charlie, and of the many chats we were able to have during our visits. Charlie was our main source of information any time we needed to know if and how someone was related to the Family. He and Uncle Hubert were so helpful in that regard.
When Charlie was getting ready to build his cabin in Connie Arm, Dad and I were privileged to go with him by boat, to the area, taking the materials to the spot for his cabin. It being my first visit to the area, I was told much about as to where our relatives lived, and of course, Charlie and Dad knew all their names; quite a history lesson!
Charlie's enthusiasm about his Wonderful Saviour and the Joy the gift of salvation brought him, was always a pleasure to observe.
May you always be comforted by the fact that He is now with Jesus, based upon the Promise in the Bible, "that to be absent from the body is to be PRESENT with the Lord". What a glorious hope that gives to us who have believed.
Be assured of our love and prayers for you all,
I

Ruby, Sheila, Peggy, June, Hank, Graham, Jacquie and Nola:
It is with great sadness that I write this message, but is is also a time of rejoicing in knowing that another great soldier has finished his course and never wavered in his faith.
I have so many fond memories of spending weekends in Sop's Arm with Nola and Jacquie, Ruby's cooking and of course Charlie.
My fondest memories of him are being awakened early in the morning to the sound of his voice in conversation with his saviour. He would call each of his children by name, asking for direction and blessings for their lives. His desire was for all of them to serve the Lord he loved so very much.
Charlie also interceded on behalf of his community - constantly praying for healing and revival.
One of the greatest prayer warriors I have ever known, I can still hear the voice of this wonderful, compassionate and humble man.
All who knew Charlie Hynes are truly blessed.

One thing about growing up in a small community is that the community becomes your family as they all have a hand in raising you. But then there are those that go above and beyond and really do become family. That’s why it’s difficult when you lose a family member. Our hope is knowing we’ll meet again. Ruby, I know there are going to be lonely days ahead, but look forward to the reunion. I’m sure Charlie is now having the time of his life. Even though we can’t be there physically, we will be, in our hearts. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Hello Hynes family;
So many memories from childhood to last summer. Pea soup comes to my mind each time I think of Charlie and Ruby. Charlie was always up for a chat and eager to share his memories with me about my family, especially Joe Kearley. Charlie holds a special place in our hearts and memories. May God’s peace, love and grace be with you all in abundance.
