Fred was my teacher in Milltown in 1959-60. He was one of the best teachers that I ever had. Fred was very respectful to all of his students and I can’t remember him ever raising his voice toward the students. My sincere condolences to his family. Nelson Buffett

I remember many an hour singing in the choir, playing cards, cooking at the legion and having fun at teachers parties in the late 70s and early 80s with Fred and Laura - cherished friends. Shirley Sutton

Glenn, Bruce, Terence and Valerie,
We are so sorry to read of the passing of your Dad. Fred was a former colleague and friend when we lived and worked in Bay D’Espoir. Fond memories come to mind from teacher get togethers, dart parties and living in your parent’s
basement apartment. May your wonderful memories, and knowing that your Mom and Dad are together again, bring you peace and comfort.
Condolences from Bob and Pansy Small

Our deepest condolences to to the family. Mr. Strickland was my teacher many years ago. A respected man that was always nice and never put up with nonsense from unruly students. I am sure he will be missed by all.

My condolences to all the Strickland family. As a teenager in Milltown Greenwood High, Fred was my teacher. He didn't want to put up any nonsense from the students, (we had a couple that tested him). He was actually one of my favorite teachers. As an adult, of course, I was in the company of Laura and Fred on many different family occasions. Again, So sorry for your loss.
