It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick Strickland announce his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Complex, Springdale, NL on Wednesday October 16, 2024 at the age of 91. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Glenn Strickland, Milltown, NL, Bruce (Mona), Addison, ON, Terence (Bonnie), Chilliwack, BC & Valerie (Ted Heath), Springdale, NL; grandchildren: Michael (Isabelle) Janine & Cole (Natasha); great–grandchildren: Felix & Luca; brothers: Junior (Edith), Milltown, NL, David (Yvonne), Milltown, NL & Claude (Mary), Milltown, NL; sisters: Eleanor (Ewald Shaefer), Germany & Nita (Fred Burden), Milltown, NL; sister in law: Eileen Strickland, St. John’s, NL, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife: Laura; brothers: Howard, Sidney & Alexander; sister: Rosemary Staeben. Funeral service on Sunday October 20, 2024 at 2pm at Christ Anglican Church, Milltown with Rev. Hubert Vallis officiating, Interment to follow at Christ Anglican Cemetery, Milltown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Church memorial fund.
